Sexual assaults and other crimes have been rampant at the Occupy Wall Street protest in New York. An interview with one bright young lady residing there paints quite the picture. Her matter-of-factness about rapes and such-like is simply one of the most chilling things I’ve ever seen.
Another woman told the New York Post that when sexual assaults occur, “We don’t tell anyone. We handle it internally. I said too much already.”
The victims will be dealing with the ramifications of these sex attacks for the rest of their lives. Yes, they share in the foolishness of being there in the first place, but everyone’s entitled to a degree of foolishness, especially the young. Being raped, and having it go unreported in the name of protecting the movement, counts as excessive punishment.
But then it’s for a good cause, right? What exactly was that cause, again?
